Duplex House Plans
Duplex plans put two complete homes side by side under one roof. Each unit has its own front entry, kitchen, bathrooms and, on two-story plans, its own stair; the units are mirror images, separated by a 0.40 m double-leaf party wall drawn as an REI 90 fire wall with no openings. The area table lists each unit separately, and the living area shown is the total for both. Duplexes are a common way to build a rental next to your own home or to sell two units on one lot.
